Fun is always in season at PlumpJack Inn

Tucked at the base of the Sierra Nevada Mountains in North Lake Tahoe California, just steps away from the legendary ski lifts of Palisades Tahoe, PlumpJack Inn was built as the home for the 1960 Winter Olympic delegation. Comfortable and casually elegant, our Lake Tahoe mountain escape offers an intimate resort experience, complete with fine dining and an attentive staff that’s dedicated to making your stay everything you dreamed of. Planning a destination wedding, corporate event or private party? We love bringing people together and will do everything to make sure your event is a success.

From the mountains to the lake, there’s ample opportunity for outdoor adventure. And with slope-side access and some of the area’s best hiking, PlumpJack Inn, near Lake Tahoe’s north shore, offers more than just a getaway, but a true experience.

We won’t think any less of you if you just want to bring a book and curl up by the fireplace or sit out by the pool. Then again, it would be a shame to waste an opportunity like this. Our staff loves to get outdoors and would be delighted to help you plan an awesome Lake Tahoe adventure.

Palisades Tahoe (formerly known as Squaw Valley) is where the 1960 Winter Olympics took place, so it’s no surprise this is a prime skiing destination. But Lake Tahoe is a splendid place to be outdoors any time of year. Some of the most beautiful trails in California are right out our front door, and the weather in summer and fall is perfect for hiking and mountain biking. PlumpJack Inn is just a couple of miles from the Truckee River and less than 8 miles from the lake.

You can also take an extraordinary ride in the Palisades Tahoe Aerial Tram to an elevation of 8,200 feet where you’ll find breathtaking views of the Sierra Nevada Mountains and Lake Tahoe. And of course our location, just steps from The Village at Palisades Tahoe, puts you in close proximity to shopping and dining.
